The recession may have brought lots of heartache but there is one good thing that has come of this economic downfall. According to Ruth Caldwell, Senior Buyer for CAPITOL clothing store, since most stores conducted their buying for this season before the recession began, there is a surplus of inventory, causing the liquidation prices to be cut in half. Lake Norman area shops previously held a sale similar to CWS but according to Caldwell, this is the first of its kind; “CWS will be staffed by community volunteers and the inventory will be organized by size, not store. If you are an 8, you will just go to the size 8 section and there will be everything in Charlotte that is on sale from all 20 stores participating in your size.” This is a sale that will be easily navigated and absolutely affordable. There will be no fitting rooms, just full length mirrors, so be sure to wear something that you can slip clothes over.

Make sure to get there as early as possible because with sales like this, the pickings will be slim. During this recession where both consumers and small boutiques are suffering, this is the answer. “A pop-up outlet for specialty stores! And at a time when shoppers really need a bargain on fashion!
