FEMININE NOT FRAGILE: A Trunk Show by Designer Blaine Degannes

FEMININE NOT FRAGILE:
A Trunk Show by Designer Blaine Degannes

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (February 1, 2010) – Fashion and entertainment company, The 1524 Groupe will host an evening of fashion, luxury and elegant opulence on February 5, 2010 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Designer Blaine Degannes of Rain Anthology will present an exclusive viewing of “FEMININE NOT FRAGILE,” his Spring 2010 collection at the Scott Jaguar showroom, conveniently located in South Charlotte at 400 Tyvola Road.

Guests will have the opportunity to mix, mingle and network while partaking of champagne and decadent desserts, all while enjoying the intense colors and chic designs of the evening. Degannes was featured most recently in 2009 for Toronto’s LG Fashion Week Beauty by L’OrĂ©al Paris, and his first line was featured during Charlotte NC Fashion Week 2008. Although Rain Anthology is a young line, Degannes’ work has been showcased on a variety of media outlets and garnered very positive acclaim in the international realm, following his showing in Toronto. Degannes is gaining tremendous momentum in a relatively short period of time and is truly becoming the next young designer to watch.

Degannes describes the Feminine Not Fragile collection as designs for the woman who is “confident, self-assured, conservative and sexy.” The collection is filled with fluidity and beautiful simplicity for the woman who appreciates luxurious fabrics and superior craftsmanship. The designs are precise and perfect, feminine and sensual at the same time, complete with strong lines to define strength combined with the freedom of non-restrictive fashions. The color palette is bold—reds, golden yellow, burnt orange and greens are all present, cleverly evoking a sense of passion and sophistication in each piece. These color combinations mixed with sharp pleats effectively accentuate a woman’s curves while simultaneously reflecting her inner strength and beauty. Rain Anthology is a premier, custom line for a discerning clientele. Guests will have the opportunities to place orders after the evening’s fashion showcase.

Event sponsors include Scott Jaguar, Barefoot Wine, Bakers Shoes, Karen Smith Metal Wear, Johnson & Wales Bakery & Pastry Club and The Art Institute of Charlotte’s Fashion Club. Portion of all clothing sales will benefit PURPLE PASSION 4 Alzheimer's, a nonprofit organization. To be placed on the guest list, please RSVP to jameka@jswmediagroup.com by 12:00 p.m. on February 5, 2010. Cocktail attire is suggested.
