Flow By Tara Davis

Flow by Tara Davis
By: Nicole Hale

A flow of fashion has swept through Charlotte. Her name? Tara Davis. Many of you may know her as the fashion designer based out of Charlotte who sculpts her designers to a woman’s curves and keeps all her lines clean and beautiful. Well, she has done it again. Flow by Tara Davis just recently held a trunk show on Saturday May 16th at Fuze Salon and Spa to show off some of her spring 2009 collection. The ambiance was laid back and chic with a variety of fashion insiders including models from the E Agency, Darrell Roach Jewelry designs and freelance makeup artists Danielle Hughes and Kimberley Bess. Shoes worn by all models and Tara Davis herself were sponsored by Baker’s Shoes. Denim and neutral colors were hot looks for her spring collection, ranging from knee length pencil dresses to short summer frocks. Major curves and embracing a woman’s body seems to be something that Tara Davis has sought after and very successfully achieved through a variety of form fitting, elegant designs.

“Inspiration is called Garden Party. Basically, it’s any type of dress or silhouette that I think you could wear to a cosmopolitan chic garden party,” said Davis.

All of the dressed seemed to express this inspiration as they “flowed” over the model’s polished shapes in a way that screamed Sex in the City. Spring chic is all the rage right now but keep your eyes open because coming this October, we will be getting to see what Davis has up her sleeve as she debuts her new Fall collection. Until then, go with the flow.

Get Ready, Get Set, SHOP!

From Our Content Partner Style Mayvin:

It's a little early to already be so focused on NYC Fashion Week but what's a Style Mayvin if not an early bird? After all, she does get the worm!

September 10, 2009 is the first night of Spring 2010 fashion week and they're kicking it off with a bang. Stores all across the 5 boroughs of New York as well as others around the country will extend their closing hours to 11pm. Yep, you heard me right! AND...to further lure potential shoppers in, many stores will have designers, models and celebrity appearances. So, in a fabulous effort to boost the fledgling retail industry out of it's financial slump, even New York's Mayor Bloomberg has embraced the retail sales event, "Fashion's Night Out" and what's an event without a commemorative tee? 40% of the proceeds from sales of the "Fashion's Night Out" t-shirt (available in August) will go to the National September 11th Memorial & Museum.

To find out more, to register or stay "In the KNOW" about the "Fashion's Night Out" event, visit: www.fashionsnightout.com. Are you ready for Fashion Week? One hundred and eleven days and counting...
